Welcome from the County Comissioner

Welcome to Girlguiding Lancashire Border, I’m Sharon Weaver your County Commissioner. I am proud to lead our wonderful County in inspiring, growing, developing and motivating girls and young women to be wonderful members of their community and the wider world.
In Girlguiding we give our members the opportunity to try new things, learn new skills, have adventures and be change-makers in a safe environment led by amazing volunteers.

Vibrant County with Dedicated Volunteers

We are a small but vibrant County with volunteers who are dedicated to providing the very best experiences and opportunities to girls and young women. We are lucky enough to have members with huge amounts of experience; who have volunteered for over 60 years as well as brand new volunteers starting on their Guiding journey with us and lots in between, all working selflessly to enable our young members to experience all Guiding offers.

Fun, Friendship and New Adventures!

Lancashire Border offers an incredible amount to our young members but it also offers our volunteers fun, friendship, new adventures, life long learning and a wonderful feeling of belonging to the largest organisation for girls and women in the world!
Over the last year, we have faced challenges, but I am proud and delighted to say that our volunteers have risen to those challenges; providing virtual Guiding, sending out activities to girls, supporting their local community, supporting each other and embracing new ways of volunteering.

Nothing stops us in Lancashire Border!

Belonging to this awesome organisation in our amazing County is truly an inspiring experience every day.
